Travelink American Express is seeking a highly motivated
leader, passionate about travel with proven travel industry
skills and experience to serve as operations manger of a
rapidly growing division serving the employee vacations and
incentive travel for America’s Fortune 500 companies.
This key management position supports and reports to the
Director of Operations for the company.
Travelink is one of only 13 Centurion level American Express
Travel Representatives in a network of select U.S. appointed
agencies that provides business, group, meeting, and vacation
travel management services. The company serves clients through
an extensive online platform at as well as a network of retail
offices located in Chapel Hill, NC, Asheville, NC, Greensboro,
NC, Philadelphia, PA, Dearborn, MI and Nashville, TN, as
well as 15 virtual offices located in Tennessee, North Carolina,
New Jersey, Louisiana, Florida and Arizona.
Preferred Competencies:
• College degree and CTC or other comparable industry
certifications
• Well rounded agency experience in excess of 15 years,
to include front-line agent experience

Job Accountabilities:
• Maintain
world class standards for all aspects of the customer experience.
• Achieve division success with the American Express
preferred supplier goals.
• Analyze phone stats and monitor calls to achieve
maximum proficiency of all front line
staff.
• Develop necessary training to create star performers
exceeding productivity goals and achieving corporate goals.
• Create analytical daily sales report for President
of Vacation Division of company to maintain focus on revenue
and supplier goals as well as historical data and trends.
• Local staff management including hiring, training
and development, scheduling,
counseling, goal setting and performance rewards.
• Act as local point of contact for escalated customer
service issues and help develop an attitude of service that
matches companies like Ritz Carlton and Nordstorm.
• Oversee all aspects of the technical details and
staffing to ensure we are positioned for an annual growth
of 25%.
• Maintain relationship with preferred supplier contacts
for routine training.
• Manage a highly successful pre-paid travel program
and develop ways to serve more
discerning VIPs looking for high level personal service for
exotic travel. |

Job Responsibilities May Include:
- Work closely with Director of Operations
to develop and maintain operating standards for the Vacation
and Business Travel divisions of the company
- Liaison for Vacation & Business Travel Branch Management
for call center monitoring and goal achievement
- Work with Branch Managers and Director of Operations
to identify and resolve operational gaps
- Local staff management including hiring, training and
development, scheduling, counseling, etc
- Lead and develop local staff to personal and corporate
goal achievement
- Act as local point of contact for escalated customer
service issues
- Operational project management
- Assist Travel Consultants and book as necessary
- Site/building management including troubleshooting and
dealing with property management
Desired Skills:
- College degree and CTC preferred
- Well rounded agency experience in excess of 15 years,
to include front-line agent experience.
- Call Center understanding
- Multi-office management experience
- Knowledge of Sabre
