Baggage Policies |
For each fare-paying customer, AirTran Airways allows one (1) checked
piece free of charge, with size and weight limitations. The charge
for a second checked bag will be $10 when paid using Online Check-In
or $20 when paid at the airport kiosks and ticket counter. Details.

Passengers traveling on domestic economy class tickets purchased
on or after May 12, 2008 but before June 15, 2008 may check one
bag for free and check a second bag for $25 each way. Customers
who purchase domestic economy class tickets on or after June
15, 2008 will be charged $15 each way for the first checked bag
and $25 each way for the second checked bag. Exceptions may apply. Details. |

Effective November 1, 2008, Continental’s
carry-on baggage requirement will be reduced from 51 linear inches/130cm
to 45 linear inches/115cm (9”x14”x22”/23x36x56cm)
systemwide.
Domestic customers may check one baggage item free of charge. Customers
are charged an excess baggage fee of $25 for second bag. Certain

Delta will begin charging $25 for a second checked bag for domestic
travel on or after May 1st. Exempted customers: members of
Delta's frequent-flier program who log at least 25,000 qualifying
miles of travel per year, first and business class passengers.
As of April 1st, oversized bags fee goes from $100 each way
to $150 each way on domestic flights. Details.

Economy class customers may check one bag free and a second bag

Customers traveling on or after August 18, 2008 on an Economy ticket
or Economy award ticket purchased on or after June 13, 2008,
a $15 service fee will apply for your first checked bag. A
$25 fee will apply for a second checked bag, depending on when
you purchased your ticket and when you are traveling. Certain
